August 14, 2007. August 13, 2007, Russia. Train wreck near Veliki Novgorod town on the railway between Moscow and St.Petersburg. About 60 people are reported to be injured after an express train going from Moscow to St. Petersburg was derailed by an explosion near Veliki Novgorod town in northwestern Russia on Monday evening. More than 30 people were hospitalized, mostly injured by shattered glass, after 12 of 13 cars and the locomotive of the four-hour Nevsky Express went off the rails. The train travels at a speed of 200 km/h (120 mph).
