US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Defense Secretary Robert Gates arrived to Moscow on October 12, 2007 to discuss U.S. plans to build a missile defense shield in East Europe. Russian President Vladimir Putin met Condoleezza Rice in Novo-Ogarevo residence near Moscow. Rice and Gates will also meet with their Russian colleagues - Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov to conduct negotiations on the problem of strategic security with Russia.(Rice and Putin).
